Develop Your Vision With The Team

Business consultant, Sheila Scott is back to share some more words of wisdom for this week’s top tip… ‘Develop your vision with the team.’

You’ve probably heard a quotation or two to the effect ‘if you don’t know where you’re going, it doesn’t matter how you get there, or when’.

But worse, when you depend on a team of people to help you get somewhere, and they don’t know where or what the end goal is, they will fill in the gaps with what they think is right and put in effort to achieve something, but it may not always be what you intended it to be – wouldn’t it be a shame for all of that effort to be put to waste, as they won’t be helping you!

I recommend you have regular team meetings and regular catch ups with each member of your team where you talk about what you want for the practice and what you want to achieve. That way you can agree and develop the practice aims, goals and targets and measure how you move towards them.

Don’t let the focus of the practice drift. Be clear.
