My Top Tips From This Year’s Practice Management Conference

Sarah Whittall, Events and Marketing Coordinator, reflects on some of the top tips from the recent Practice Management Conference to help you take your practice to the next level!

One of my key focuses at the moment is organising our next Practice Management Conference, which will take place in Reading on 17th September. The first conference took place in June in Manchester and if you were one of the fortunate ones to join us at the Conference, then I’m sure you’ll agree that the experienced speakers of Chris Barrow, Jane Lelean, Harriet Purdie and Simon Tucker were positively bursting with ideas and knowledge!

Having been there on the day, I was lucky enough to see these great speakers in action. So with this in mind, I wanted to share my top tips from each speaker with you!

Chris Barrow – Marketing is storytelling and it’s only really effective when it evokes emotion

Tell a story through your marketing and your patients will be more likely to listen to it, share it and interact with you. Tell your patient’s stories about treatments you have done and the lives that you have changed as a result and motivate them to turn to you as their number one choice to help them.

Jane Lelean – Take control of your business

Competition is everywhere and the need to stand out from the crowd is key. Seize the day, stop putting the things off that you always wanted to do but never got around to and simply do it NOW!

Harriet Purdie – Compliance is everyone’s responsibility

In today’s dental world, compliance is no longer the responsibility of just the practice manager. It is now part of everyone’s role. Involve the whole team and learn to delegate and empower your staff to ensure that everyone lives and breathes compliance in your dental practice.

Simon Tucker – Give your patients a fabulous experience

Make the dentistry you provide personal and memorable and actively demonstrate to your patients that you can add value to their lives. Patients will pay more for a good experience that they feel has been created especially for them.

If these top tips have peaked your interest and you fancy hearing more, why not join us for the next, full-day conference on 17th September in Reading.

I’ll be there on the day and would love to see you there too!
